Title challengers Zenit have picked up just three points from their first three games after a 1-1 draw against Kuban Krasnodar following a 2-1 defeat against Rubin Kazan. Andrey Arshavin put Zenit in front, his first goal for his hometown club since returning from Arsenal in the summer. Kuban then equalized on 78 minutes through Gheorghe Bucur to snatch a point.
